Chisti Iqbal, Barrister-at-Law, was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was raised in Virginia, USA. He completed his secondary education at St. Joseph High School, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his undergraduate degrees in Government and Criminal Justice from Angelo State University, Texas, USA, and law degree from University of London, London, UK. He then went to obtain his Masters in Law from University of East London, UK. He called for the Bar of England and Wales in 2006 as a member of the Honorable Society of Lincolns Inn and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Law from City University of London in the same year.
He practiced advanced criminal fraud law in London before moving back to Bangladesh to practice corporate and banking law in 2007. He also specialised in IP law and pioneered artist/talent management in Bangladesh under his agency “ACES management and consultancy”. He also produced and managed/distributed micro and macro audio-visual content and advised several digital pr and marketing agencies of Bangladesh.
He recently advised Bangladesh National Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan on setting up and administering his welfare trust and foundation which worked through the pandemic to raise funds up-to $200,000 and disburse ppe, funds and relief. He also co-founded Auction for Action (A4A), a hugely popular charity auction which engaged all the high profile celebrities and personalities of Bangladesh and raised more than $100,000 in less than 3 months. He has recently joined Mastul Foundation, an effective NPO in Bangladesh, as an advisor.
