As a Financial Advisor for the past 18 years, Kalyani Sanghavi, truly believes that a woman that controls her finances controls her own destiny.  A DC area native, Kalyani attended the University of Maryland in College Park.  Although her original goal was to go to medical school, it turned out life had other plans.  After completing her degree in Physiology and Neurobiology, she worked as a web developer and then ultimately found her calling to help others reach their financial goals.  Kalyani is a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, Accredited Portfolio Management Analyst and a Certified Divorce Financial Planner with Ameriprise Financial.   In 2006, Kalyani relocated from the DC area to Houston, TX.  Kalyani served as a board member for The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston for 6 years and taught financial literacy classes to women and girls.   In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, cheering on the TERPS, and spending time with her family.
