recently, policy and legislation. Lamisa is a passionate young
professional deeply committed to creating a more just, inclusive, and
equitable society.
Lamisa graduated from Rhodes College in 2018 with a B.A. in History

the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of human and civil
rights with a focus on marginalized communities, including the impact
and implementation of gender equality and women’s rights, particularly
on Black and Brown bodies.
Lamisa currently lives in Memphis, Tennessee. As a first-generation
Bangladeshi-American, she loves learning new things about her culture
and honoring the legacy of her people. In her spare time, Lamisa
enjoys watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, and cozying up
with a good book (and her dog, Nugget). Lamisa also has a strong
appetite for trying new foods from all over the world. Most of all,
she loves connecting with others to find ways to empower one another.
Cheers,
Lamisa
